XEMICS And Phyton Join Forces to Create an In-Circuit-Emulator
NEUCHATEL, Switzerland & MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS
WIRE)--Dec. 17, 2001--XEMICS and Phyton today announced the launch of
the first In-Circuit-Emulator (ICE) for the XE8000 microcontrollers
series and Sensing Machines.
The ICE makes it easier to develop, test and debug software for
the XE8000 microcontrollers series and Sensing Machines. It contains
all the necessary software and hardware, including the integrated
development environment with full project support, assembler,
C-compiler, simulator, debugger, linker, and tiny emulator header to
fit directly into the target application. The ICE features
non-intrusive emulation at full processor speed, self adjustable
voltage regulator 1.2 V to 5.5 V, full size program and data memory
mapped with one word resolution, 64k true hardware program and data
breakpoints, intelligent breakpoint processor, 8 probe inputs, 4
trigger outputs, trace buffer, and programmable clock generator.
"The ICE is a fantastic tool for embedded software developers,"
said Michel Chevroulet, Product Marketing Manager for the XE8000
series. "It makes very fast design possible while minimizing risks."
"It is an excellent complement to our other development tools for
designers using our XE8000 products in low-power sensing, home
automation and radio applications."
